  1. Ambien can't od says:

I don’t think you can od on ambien without contributing factors like copd or pneumonia. I’ve taken over 100 10mg pills in one night and I’ve woken with 0 memory of that night and the following day but not any health issues. The prob with ambien is if you take 2 or 3 you can keep taking them without knowing what you’re doing. I think ambien is far more dangerous than alcohol or pain meds. If you have insomnia take 2 benadryl. It won’t make you wired and you will sleep.

Ive been an Ambian user for 2 yrs on and off, and i recently just started it again.
i walked to a gorge that was more than 100 ft tall and thought there was a trail,
so i decieded to step out, and i fell and smashed my head on a log at the bottom and was knocked out.
I was rushed to the emergency room && suffered a severe concussion.I also once almost jumped out my window thinking i could flyy. I have a bad heart condition, so i cant have any blood in my mouth, but on ambian i decieded to attempt to peirce my tounge with dirty knitting needles..etc. I started to physically hurt myself on ambian, which i would never do of course sober. I tried to screw my teeth out and suceeded with one. I also started to like to jump on glass to see blood trail behind me. just really weird and crazy things. I ust to love the “high” and halluniations you would get before, but than it just basically got worse as u use it longer as you all can see now. The things it made me do are things a crazy person would do. Idk if anybody else has had some experiences liek i have shared,or ones like it,but ambian is a horrible medication and i think its just gonna get worse. im no longer on it, and will never be taking it again after falling almost to my death.

I started on ambien when I was thirteen and have taken it every single night for sleep since then. I am 29 years old now, so I guess I have been taking it for about 16 years. My tolerance didn’t go up until after the birth of my son in 2009…now I have to take double or triple my prescribed dose to fall asleep. I black out every night and am terrified that I have or will do something to someone else or hurt myself sometime…but i can’t stop taking it because I am even more terrified of not being able to fall asleep and living like a zombie. It has such power over my life–I have started craving it at night (“i can’t wait til the day is over so i can take an ambien and chill”). I want to stop taking this drug but I need an alternative. has anyone else found an alternative medication that is as effective but does not make them blackout or crave higher doses?

My husband took Ambien to help him sleep due to a stressful job. After having meetings/conversations with customers and not remembering he stopped taking it. My dad wasn’t so lucky. He recently started taking Ambien and after only a few days he took his own life on Aug. 8, 2010. My dad enjoyed life and the last thing he would do is end his own life. My dad would never intentionally cause the hurt and pain our family is in. We miss him dearly.
