Information

All these stories are ridiculous and completely fabricated ambien won’t make you kill yourself if you have done something stupid on ambien it was probably already deep rooted in your head and the disorientation made you feel more okay with it. If you would try to kill yourself on ambien you would most likely do the same after consuming alcohol just as easily as the sleep medicine

Chris, why would hundreds of people come to this site and post ‘fabricated’ stories? And why would people waste their time responding to these stories if they are ‘fabricated’? Why did you waste your time writing on this board if you believe all of the stories are false? I sincerely hope that it doesnt take a personal experience with the horrible reactions of this drug to open your eyes to the damage it can cause. Best of luck to you.

I am an avid user of Ambien, prescribed by my doctor for my incredible Insomnia – I will be awake for literally 3 days without sleep if I’m not on Ambien, true story. And I have never one time experienced anything like you people are describing. I take 20mg a night. A night! It puts me in a beautiful, euphoric, state that provides me the luxury of sleep. I have never had one single thought of suicide. I never wanted to drive a car or buy booze. I never wanted to kill someone else. I never wanted to do any of that stupid shit. What’s wrong with you people? You all need something more than Ambien to get you through, that’s for sure. Maybe some Zolof.

You people are nuts. Ambien is the best sleep aid in the world today and I am thankful to have it because being awake and feeling run down and tired and agitated because of the fact you can’t sleep is an entirely new game to play.

    Baltis,

Glad to hear the drug is working for you. Sounds like you’re getting a great high off of it if its putting you in an euphoric state (since the directions say to take it and go straight to sleep). I would just request that you acknowledge the fact that every human body is different and every body reacts differently to forgein substances that are ingested. Great for you that you have not experienced the side effects described on this board – your body can tolerate the drug. Please just understand that the drug affects everyone differently.

    Chris,
You need to do accurate research on this drug before you start going off on tangents on this board, because you sound ignorant. Chances are if you have an underlying mental condition this medication is going to bring it out even more, as this happened to me. The point of places like this is for people to share their story so others can learn from their experience and use caution when taking a medication, so they are are more educated on the drug… as you clearly are not. I hope that your post doesn’t cause people to hide any problems they have. Think about it.

I used to take Ambient. No problems. For a year or more
To make a long story short I live alone but was om vacation with my mother this week I got up in my sleep and ate all kinds of things we had in our room and cleaned up and mumbled to .myself. My mother heard it all but stayed in her bed wondering what I was doing. The next day it came up somehow and I had a vague dark partial moment of the time but I could NOT believe I did all that…there was evidence though…and I heard that doing things in the night/sleep on Ambien so I stopped taking it. I didn’t like not knowing what I might have done in the past when alone….or what might possibly happen when I am alone in the future

THESE ARE NOT MADE UP STORIES…

  6. Debra says:

Yes I am sure ALL of these people are making these stories up. Yes, that’s it (sarcasm). This morning on the Kane Radio Show they had people call in to share their crazy ambien stories. I had never heard about this drug or the side effects (well I previously seen commercials that it was a sleep aid but that was about it). On the radio show this morning, so many people called in with crazy stories – waking up on the side of the road, sleep-driving, having sex with their boyfriend and forgetting who he was…the stories went on and on so I came home and googled it….they should take this drug off the market. I cannot believe on this board (like Chris) who will state these people are lying – why would so many people lie and why do their stories have a familiar ring to them?

  7. Linda says:

I also was on ambien. There were some nights that I didnt go right to sleep but it was because it wouldnt work all the time. Then I started hearing stories about it so I did my own research. It is not a ‘sleep aid’ but a ‘hypnotic’ drug!! I don’t believe in hypnosis and would NEVER allow myself to get hypnotized so I stopped taking them. Hypnosis is opening up your mind to outside influences….demons! And for those of you who don’t believe in demons, do you believe in God? If there is a God, then there are demons.

Now I see the Lunesta is also advertised as a ‘sleep aid’ yet it is also listed as a ‘hypnotic’ drug. People, please be very careful with these NEW sleep aids. The studies are not completely reported. It sounds like those that can get on here and comment that these are lies, are simply immature adults, who feel that because THEY have not experienced it, therefore, it’s not true. That is simple mindedness. Yes, there is truly a problem with these drugs and the big pharmaceuticals do not report all of the effects. If they did, they wouldn’t be able to make the millions that they do on them. To Chris and the other persons claiming that these are lies…WAKE UP…no pun intended!

    • Cassidy says:

I’m sorry Debra, but you seem to miss all Chris was saying. He was saying that he feels that all the storys about tripping on Ambien are false, or highly unlikely, and if they were to happen, (such as crazy events, killing someone, suicide, ect.) That they would, somewhere in their brain, have already thought about doing that aforementioned action, and that it is not the Ambien’s fault. I agree however, having my Ph.D in psychology, that the disorientation of your body would lead you to think that those actions are more acceptable then what really is.

I hope this clears everything up.
