Sadly, visitors often find this site in a state of suicidal depression, and we have lost several readers along the way. If you are feeling depressed and suicidal, *please* do not do it. Your life is meaningful and important to many people, including me. In the U.S., call 1-800-273-8255 National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, visit contactwecare.org, or email me, David. Suicide is a long term solution to a short term problem. No matter how bad you feel today, there is a very high chance that you will feel better (normal, even) in the future.
In fact, it's likely that you are depressed because your sleep cycles are so damaged. New, credible studies are showing that there is virtually no chemical difference between depression and sleep deprivation. They are virtually the same thing. Instead of killing yourself, try changing your life. Research sleep strategies, start working out, find a hobby you are passionate about, and things will get better. I promise.

I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and the medication they gave me for pain made me sick causing dry socket. I took my last ibuprofen a couple of nights ago and havent been able to sleep because of pain and it being uncomfortable to lay on my sides because my jaw is very sore. I have been laying up at night with little sleep for almost a week and i have to get up at 545am for work everyday. We had some sample Abien at the house so I decided finally to take one before bed last night. I am the complete opposite of an addict, I hate feeling out of control of myself I’ve never smoked a cigarette let alone tried a drug and I dont drink. I rarely take medication, I always try something natural. I was in so much pain and just wanted to finally get some sleep. I didnt know all the side effects from this drug! When I went to brush my teeth it was hard for me to stand I was dizzy and felt drunk then I laid in bed and had hallucinations. Thought I was swimming under water with fish and I was in a castle I felt like I was half asleep half awake. I thought my boyfriend was differnt appliances in the castle!!! I was saying crazy things…and I was all over him! I have never talked in my sleep or slept walked at all. It was the weirdest experience I’ve ever had. I will never take this again! I’m throwing all the sample packs away! I’ll take a Tylenol pm or some calming tea to try to help me sleep. I’d rather stay up all night then go through that again!
